SellerFeeTools

About

SellerFeeTools exists because the fee calculators ranking for these searches are quietly out of date, and sellers are pricing products on numbers that changed months ago.

Why this site exists

Etsy changed its regulatory operating fee on 22 June 2026. France went from 0.47% to 1.14% — more than double. Hungary got the fee for the first time. Italy rose 2.5×. We checked the calculators ranking for "etsy fee calculator" and most of them were still showing the old figures. One had a rate that was wrong even against the pre-June schedule.

A stale rate is not a rounding error. If you priced using 0.47% for France, you have been under-charging on every French order since June.

How the rates are verified

First-party documents first

Etsy's SEC filings are legal documents where the company states its own fee structure. The $0.20 listing fee, the 6.5% transaction fee, its April 2022 increase, the Offsite Ads 12%/15% tiers and the 2.5% currency conversion fee are all confirmed there.

Date stamps over prose

Etsy prints a "last updated" date on its policy pages. That stamp is the fact. A blog saying "Etsy just announced" is not. Where a source does not carry a date we can check, we do not use it.

Old rates are kept, not overwritten

When a rate changes we close the old row and add a new one. Nothing is updated in place — which is why the rate page can show you what a rate was before 22 June 2026, and why the calculators can work out an order from any date.

What we get wrong, and what we don't know

Every rate on this site carries a confidence label. These are the ones that are not fully confirmed.

ItemStatusWhat we do about it
Canada regulatory operating fee Conflicting Most sources give 1.15%, one gives 0.50%. We use 1.15% and flag the conflict on the page. Verify it if you sell from Canada.
Payment processing: New Zealand, Türkiye, Vietnam, India Lower confidence Labelled medium confidence in the calculator. Etsy publishes these per country; we could not confirm all of them against a first-party page.
VAT/GST on Etsy's own fees Derived Etsy publishes no table of the tax it charges on its own fees. These are national VAT/GST rates and are labelled low confidence.
Etsy's own fee page is authoritative. Where this site and etsy.com/legal/fees disagree, that page is correct. We could not retrieve it automatically when building this site, so every rate here was cross-checked against multiple sources instead. If you find a discrepancy, the rate page is the first thing to fix.

What this site is not

Reporting a rate change

The most useful thing you can do for this site is tell us when a rate moves. Etsy changes the regulatory operating fee roughly once a year, usually with little notice, and the change is often not covered anywhere.

Get told when a rate changes

One email when Etsy moves a rate. No newsletter, nothing else.

One email when a rate changes. No newsletter, no selling your address. Unsubscribe in one click. Details in the privacy policy.

Contact: tslatoken@gmail.com. Tell us when a rate has moved, when a figure here is wrong, or when a calculation does not match what Etsy actually charged you. Rate corrections get priority — a wrong number on this site is the one thing worth fixing immediately.
